Tom Zuback received his BFA in Communications Design from Wilkes University in 1989.  After working part-time gaining experience doing portraits, signage, paparazzi, and photojournalism, Tom decided to focus on working in the entertainment industry.  He began his full-time photography
career as a Still Photographer on movie sets and as an entertainment photojournalist.  He took his candid and press photos of celebrities in New York City to Lynn Goldsmith (LGI) Photo Agency and worked his way up, eventually working for such prestigious agencies as Corbisand Retna. Within two months after having met famed celebrity photo-
grapher Patrick McMullan, at a
downtown press party, he became Patrick's new associate.  For a year, Tom covered events and was the house photographer for many of the city's glamorous press, uptown, and entertainment events which required the services of Patrick McMullan.  Tom took pictures at the Tonys, the MTV awards, the Grammys, movie premieres, concerts, fashion shows, parties, fundraisers, benefits, gallery openings, downtown and UES events,

and various press events.  Tom was
the hired house
photographer for such people and companies as Todd Oldham, Barney's, Oprah Winfrey, MOMA, Interview magazine, Vanity Fair, Ocean Drive, and New York magazine.

Combining his work for Patrick McMullan, Tom continued adding

to his own clientele and worked as Still Photographer on many independent feature films such as The Deli, Drunks, and Hi-Life.  Tom then moved to working for the DMI (David McGough) Photo Agency, which had similar clients as McMullan, but included such publications as The New York Post and Variety magazine.

Today, Tom works solely on his own as a freelancer with his own group of clients.  He continues to work on film sets as the Unit, or Still Photographer, but also spends his time working for magazines, covering press events, concerts, and making portraits. Now, along with the entertainment industry, Tom also handles photography at weddings, conventions, and capturing images of an architect or interior designer's work .  He lectures about the photography industry at his alumni, Wilkes University, once a year to both college and high school students.

Feel free to contact Tom regarding prices and availability.  Tom also has the skills and abilities to scan, touch-up, and Email images within hours after the event.

"Tom Zuback's passion for creating high quality images and realistically capturing events and people, along with his relaxed manner and entertaining and out-going personailty, make him one of the most sought after photographers in NYC."
